Coaching FAQs

Why consider Coaching?

As a company, is this your reality?

  • You have new leaders that need to be trained and developed.
  • You have a leader who is struggling in their role.
  • You have a leader that you want to invest in.
  • You have future leaders that you need to develop.
  • You are growing or scaling and need to keep everyone rowing in the same direction.
  • Your leaders have participated in several formal leadership programs but haven’t had an “organizational lift.”
  • You need your leaders to effectively navigate the challenges of your business reality.

As an individual, is this your reality?

  • I’m struggling and stressed at work and need help navigating through.
  • I’m doing well at work and want to reach the next level.
  • I’m a leader, and many people come to me for support, but I need support, too.
  • It’s time to focus on me. I want to make some changes.
  • I can’t seem to get what I want and don’t know why. I need to get real and do the work that needs to be done.
What is Coaching?

Coaching is a structured process that helps you achieve your goals through guidance, support, challenge, and accountability. The coach is a personal guide and accountability partner for the individual and the organization.

Why consider engaging a Coach?

A coach is a dedicated resource to help you achieve your goals. The relationship established with the coach allows the individual to be vulnerable (maybe for the first time) because being vulnerable in coaching has no negative repercussions or consequences. Challenges can be resolved in a safe, risk-free, supportive environment.

There are also significant benefits for the organization. Your business results are directly tied to your people. The more effective leaders are, the more effective their teams will be, and effective teamwork moves organizations forward faster!

How is Doing HR Differently Coaching different?

Our coaching is customized to the needs of the organization and the person. We don’t have programs. We have unique, immersive, transformational experiences.

For Leadership Teams – We can design leadership coaching for teams that include leadership training with supportive coaching.

For Individuals – We can design an experience that fits you and provides the support you need to achieve your goals.

In addition to her business and leadership experience, Terri has been a dedicated lay counselor at mega-churches for over 18 years. She has helped hundreds of people effectively navigate through life’s challenges.

Who typically pays for Coaching?

The company or the individual.

What’s the difference?

When your company pays for coaching, your coaching sessions are confidential, but some level of reporting is shared with the company about your progress and how to support you. The company may want to set the goals for or with you.

When you pay for coaching directly, your session is confidential. Your company does not receive information, and you set your own goals.

From a coaching standpoint, you receive the same level of guidance, support, and challenge, no matter who the client is.

A Word of Advice: If you value growing professionally or getting support to achieve your goals, go for it even if your company doesn’t agree to pay for coaching. This is an investment in yourself, and you can never go wrong when you invest in yourself!

What does it take for Coaching to be successful?

Accountability, not excuses, will get you the results you work for. You must be committed to the process. This includes meeting regularly, being honest, being open to feedback, and doing the work required.

Real transformation takes time. Depending on the goals and the cadence of meetings, we prefer to work with clients for 3 to 6 months or longer.

We also offer a Fast Track Coaching Process (4 sessions) focused on one topic.

What does Coaching cost?

Coaching requires both time and money. Our Coaching packages range from $1,500 to $10,000.

Don’t let the cost scare you away- this is an investment, and achieving results is PRICELESS!

If Coaching isn’t working for me, can I get a refund?

Yes. We want you to make the right decision, so before we enter into a coaching agreement, we’ll have the needed conversations with you so you can make a well-informed decision.
